The season 5 of the singing reality show , Gospel New Star finally came to an end with Millicent Kofitio being crowned the ultimate winner. The competition began with over 1000 applicants auditioning for a slot in the finals. The reality show went through different stages and eviction,with final 20 selected for the finals, to battle for the top prize.
The grande finale was held at the forecourt of the Unity house, opposite the St. John’s Grammar School on Saturday, 13th April. All 20 contestants delivered amazing performances on the night with the motive of clinching the enviable top prize , a Kia soul as the ultimate prize.
With very eloquent and experienced music producers and icons such as Mr. Carlos Sakyi, Mr. Frederick Kyei Mensah and Rev. Mensah Bonsu playing the role of judges, the audience present was over elated and sure of unbiased judgement.
Several distinguished dignitaries including but not limited to Mr Appiah Baiden, Unity Air Manager and Mr Atta Frimpong, Nations Service Manager and the Ag. CEO of Unity Media, Rev Enoch Frimpong graced the occasion.At the end of the competition, Beatrice Nomah emerged as the 1st runner up with Blessing Azure sweeping home the 3rd prize.
