David Oscar Wants Ghana To Legalize Weed So Other People Won’t Get Depressed Like He Did

Former comedian and now full time musician David Oscar has called on Ghana to legalize weed, becoming the next showbiz personality to jump on the legalization bandwagon.

According to Oscar, weed is not as harmful as has been claimed and it actually has many benefits which has been hidden from the public.

“I do really hope and pray that we will get to that point as a country where we will decriminalize marijuana for people to sell and benefit from it,” he told Jessica Opare Saforo during an interview on Citi Fm.

“Why don’t we start with our schools? Maybe the Ministry of Education could drive it. Let’s open the debate up for our kids. When we were in school, we used to debate subjects. Your research and present your argument. Why can’t we do that for marijuana?”

Oscar admitted that he was introduced to marijuana when he was in massive pain and nothing else could help him.

Oscar, who recently admitted to suffering depression, said the stories about marijuana causing madness are false and nothing but a scare tactic.

“It has not been scientifically proven anywhere that using marijuana has made anyone gone crazy. The persons said to have gone crazy, mix the plant with substances like cocaine and heroin, then when they suffer the consequences, they turn around to blame weed.”

It’s hard to get depressed when you’re high, isn’t it? Maybe we should all follow Oscar’s plan.
