Hockey tournament to be held in memory of Atta Mills

The Atta Mills Care in partnership with Ghana Hockey Association will organize a hockey tournament in honour of the late President John Atta Mills. The tourney has been slated for July 29th.

The hockey tournament is being organized to commemorate the 5th anniversary celebration of the late president Mills.

The tournament will be staged at the Theodosiah Okoh Hockey Pitch in Accra at 7am.

The annual tournament was officially launched in 2013 a year after the passing of the late Mills.

The late President Mills was once a hockey player. He played an instrumental role in the construction of the country’s only hockey stadium to enable Ghana to host the 9th Hockey Cup of Nations successfully in 2009.
