The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the Krowor Constituency, Mrs Agnes Naa Momo Lartey has launched her campaign and has assured the constituents that, “God will wipe your tears through my leadership.”
According to her, the people of Krowor deserve better than they have had for the past four years, the reason she believes is enough for the people to vote for her as their Member of Parliament (MP). The NDC PC, who was a former Presiding Member of the then Ledzorkuku-Krowor Municipal Assembly (LEKMA) under whose watch significant development was made in the area of health particularly the LEKMA Polyclinic said, she has done a lot for the constituency despite not being an MP yet.
Addressing the electorate at her campaign launch at Nungua last Sunday October 11 th 2020, which was based on the NDC constituency theme; ‘Rescue Mission’, the Krowor NDC Candidate said, “I have been able to achieve all these things even though I am yet to be an MP.” She said, “by the grace of God, I will be standing here as your MP after the December 7, 2020 elections.” Mrs Lartey, a former General Secretary of the National Association of Local Authorities in Ghana said she is offering herself for the people of Krowor to partner them for the development and betterment of the constituency. “God will wipe your tears through me because I will partner you for development since we are with the best President of Ghana – John Dramani Mahama”, she said.
She added that under her able leadership, every home will produce a graduate, saying “The difference between the rich and the poor is education and I will partner you to educate our kids to universities to eradicate poverty in Krowor”, she added. The National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo who was the main guest of honor at the campaign launch urged party supporters to use the tactical ‘Jehovah Witness’ approach to win followers to vote for the NDC in the upcoming general election.
According to him, the best way to market the good works of John Dramani Mahama is to divide themselves into cell groups and go house to house to talk to people to vote for the NDC as the party is well known to be allied ‘’Ga-Adamgbe’’’ people.
While urging the people of Nungua to vote massively for Naa Momo Lartey, the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for the constituency, stressed that they should all fall in love with the party, which belongs to them and vote massively for them to win this election. He assured the people of Nungua and its environs that if they vote for the NDC to emerge victorious, they
will have a fair share of the national cake.
For his part, the former Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Madam Sherry Ayitey said the incumbent MP, Mrs Elizabeth Afoley Quaye, who succeeded her at the ministry has failed to make sure that fisher folks in the coastal belt and Nungua have premix fuel and outboard motors for the fishing activities. Ghana’s former ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Saeed Sinari who was also at the launching event
called on the NDC to be vigilant on the election day and turn up in their numbers to police the ballot box to ensure fair election.
Mr Wradi Willinda Bortey, the Krowor Constituency Chairman of the NDC said the incumbent MP and the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo have failed Ghanaians and the people of Krowor and therefore they both do not warrant the people’s mandate for another term.
