Some youth in Taifa in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency of the greater Accra region have defect from camp of the member of Parliament of Parliament for the area Sarah Adwoa Sarfo and the ruling New Patriotic Part (NPP) and declare their support for National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for the constituency Elikplim Akurugu.
The youth numbering over 600 said Sara Adwoa Sarfo has failed to live up to expectation ever since they voted for her some 8 years ago.
They also said their MP has also failed to even to come to their aid during the lockdown period in this coronavirus pandemic erra.
The leader of the youth Bright Kakari Acheamfour a.k.a (Dr. Punpuni) who spoke to the media at a press conference at taifa post office yesterday said they will prevent NPP executives from busing people from other areas into the constituency in this year’s elections.
” Since about 8 years ago we voted for her (Adwoa Sarfo) we have seen no development, even during the lockdown she didn’t come to our aid.
The opposition candidate Elikplim Akurugu rather came to gave everything we need and still supporting us even though she is not an MP hence our decision to join her campaign and the NDC”.
He also challenged Adwoa Sarfo to come out and point to a single developmental project she has embarked on since she became MP for the area and called on the youth to vote out Adwoa Sarfo and the NPP government.
”I called on the youth in Taifa and the whole Dome-Kwabenya to vote out NPP, Adwoa Sarfo and campaign for Elikplim Akurugu, vote for her and John Dramani Mahama since all schools and developmental projects in Dome-Kwabenya here were done by the NDC.
