Covid-19: Ghana hits 68 confirmed cases

Ghana has recorded 15 more cases of the covid-19 pandemic on Wednesday.

This brings to 68 the total number of confirmed cases.

According to the GHS, the sudden spike in case incidence is as a result of the mandatory quarantine and compulsory testing for all travellers entering Ghana, as directed by the president.

Overall, 30 of the 68 cases have been reported in the general population with the remaining 38 cases among persons currently under mandatory quarantine.

Ghana as of Wednesday, March 25, 2020, morning recorded 53 cases of coronavirus with two deaths. All social gatherings have been banned by the President with Ghana’s borders also closed to traffic. People arriving in the country locked for a 14-day mandatory quarantine.
