Dawhenya: One dead in fuel station explosion

One person has died from an explosion at the Runnel Fuel Station at New Dawhenya in the Ningo Prampram District of the Greater Accra Region.

The deceased, identified as Anthony Ahiabor, 47, was in one of the offices within the premises when the explosion occurred Tuesday morning.

The cause of the explosion is yet to be determined as investigations has begun by the Ghana Fire Service.

According to Graphic.com, some workers at the facility suspect the fire might have been caused by a cooking activity in one of the offices which serves as a rest room for the staff.
