The Leadership of N.O.D Foundation, Organizers of Ghana Chieftaincy Excellence Awards, has closely monitored the ill fall-outs associated with how Ghana is handling the case of the three T’ardi abducted juveniles.
I can only imagine the excruciating pains and emotional torture the parents of these kidnapped children may be going through. Meanwhile this worrying spectacle has not received the kind of urgency and attention it needs to attract. Leadership of some notable diaspora nations like the U.S and U.K have however proven to be a protective arm and shield, behind which their citizens are secured here in Ghana. These are Countries whose citizens have not been even victimized in the abduction Saga in Ghana.
Ironically, we as a nation who is rather victimized by this unfortunate incident has remained silent and security unconscious and inactive on the roadmap to bring back our captured girls from the hands of these insensitive and inhuman hearts.
The Ghana police service which is supposed to work independently in all matters of security has fallen out in some of her legally mandated strikes.A team of Canadian Security experts have arrived in Kumasi, the capital of Ashanti region to aid in the fetch of their kidnapped nationals. Look at how the love of leadership for their people has pushed them to travel over several waters to see the safety of their citizens as well as help search for the lost in another man land.
We as Ghanaians have politicized almost all security forces and continue to roll out the business of N.P.P and N.D.C partisanship .We have politicized almost everything in this country including the church and the mosque and instead of the police service strategically engaging all needed stakeholders devoid of political ideology to bring back our beloved girls we are rather searching for which political sitting president or opposition chairman to blame.
N.O.D Foundation as a result of the bad taste of the above soup, wish to innocuously ask the leadership of this country especially the I.G.P and C.O.P Tiwaa Addo Dankwa a rhetorical question “WOULD THEY HAVE TREATED THIS CASE WITH THE SAME LACKADASICAL APPROACH IF THEIR OWN DAUGTHERS WERE THE VICTIMS?” I am more than sure that heaven would have been forced to kiss the earth if any of their wards were involved.
We in conclusion wish to plead and remind the Ghana police service of their independent nature woven out from the supreme constitution of our motherland .They should dispassionately act the legal mandate of the people attained through the president .In effect, the leadership of the N.O.D Foundation is charging the inspector General of Police to speed up with investigation in order to help arrest this devilish menace and to further resist any partisan attempt to politicize the return of the three Takoradi Girls.
