The constituents of Dome-Kwabenya has been called upon to rally behind the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to wrestle for the parliamentary seat from the ruling party, New Patriotic Party (NPP).
This call was made by Mr. Nii Ayidzaku Tackie, ‘’Alias the Grassroot Man’’, a parliamentary aspirant when he submitted his nomination forms at the Constituency party office at Dome-Kwabenya in the late hours of Friday July 19th.
According to him, it is time to liberate Dome-Kwabenya and Strength from the swamp of the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) and her incompetent president Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo.
The current Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome-Kwabenya Constituency as Hon. Adjoa Safo who doubles up as the Deputy Majority leader as well as Minister of State for procurement.
Speaking to the media briefly after his submission, he acclaimed, “I know many of you have been disillusioned and frustrated, but I’m here to bring hope to the hopeless, renewed faith in political leadership to those who doubt and empowerment to the helpless”.
To him, he is joining the race is to unite the grass root and change the course of Dome-Kwabenya believing that, together they can begin and finish the work that will being victory to the NDC in the Constituency.
The aspiring lawmaker also assured the teeming supporters and delegates who gathered at the Hour Center at Abokobi Sunday Night that, he is and willing to work with everybody in his quest to address the numerous challenges in the Constituency and called for end of tribal politics in the constituency.
“I will provide leadership that ensures that, central government and our municipal assembly deliver our fair share of the national cake to improve infrastructural development within the Constituency”, he emphasized.
