Government has pledged to support a total of 1,000 disabled women with funding. The move is aimed at promoting entrepreneurial culture among the masses.
Minister of Business Development, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, said this while addressing journalists at Information Ministry’s Meet-The-Press series in Accra on Tuesday, August 13, 2019. He stated “1,000 women entrepreneurs with disability are expected to receive

Touching on the Presidential pitch initiative, he revealed that funding has been provided to young entrepreneurs between ages of 18 and 35. He said beneficiaries are those with brilliant business ideas. About 20 young entrepreneurs were assisted in 2018 with funding, ranging from GHC25,000.00 to GH¢ 50,000.00, he noted. He recounted that President Nana Akufo-Addo personally donated GH¢25,000.00

According to him, over 200 jobs have been created under the Presidential Pitch One.
